We have well entrenched business plan to make inroads with enterprise mobility stack for end customers, says Zahir Bhatkar, Technical Specialist – EUC, Wysetek Systems Technologists
Mobility is the new focus area for Wysetek for 2019 as the company threads on its ‘end to end IT systems integrator’ value proposition to Indian organizations. As an enterprise systems integrator, the company has alliances with leading mobility vendors to cater to the IT needs for the end organizations across India. Zahir Bhatkar, Technical Specialist – EUC, Wysetek Systems Technologists elaborates on GTM for mobility in 2019 and beyond.
What are the definite trends across Indian organizations in enterprise mobility space? Why?
BYOD Shifts the Focus towards Multiple Devices is a prime trend. As most enterprises are fast adopting the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy, enterprise apps are being built for multiple devices. This will enable employees to download and use these applications, irrespective of the device they own. But the biggest challenge that hinders the BYOD strategy is security as it puts the critical business data at risk. However, most businesses can avail IT consulting services to address these challenges and still use the mobility solutions to their advantage.
IoT around for years now, mostly in the form of smart sensors and automated devices is exerting a significant influence on enterprise apps these days and is making them smarter than ever. Businesses in various domains are using the IoT-powered mobile apps to control and managed smart devices as well as to automate operations. Additionally, smartphones can capture valuable data from these devices, which is analyzed to get deep insights. These insights are used for tweaking and reforming the business strategies to make devices and processes more productive.
Lastly, cloud adoption is becoming a norm. As cloud services are attaining unmatched maturity, businesses are now able to access information any time and from anywhere without having to bear massive costs. Since enterprise mobility is meant to provide the users a seamless and anytime access to data, it becomes imperative for them to shift to the cloud. There are some data security concerns for organizations, but the concept of hybrid cloud has addressed them to a considerable extent.
Which are the prime pain points of organizations with respect to enterprise mobility in today’s hyper connected world?
Mobile Security: Security is the greatest challenge facing Enterprise Mobility because mobile devices are inherently vulnerable and provide attackers with direct access to corporate network, sensitive data, passwords and personal information.A comprehensive Enterprise Mobility Management strategy is recommended that can be used to harness devices and app visualization to ensure all business information is where it should be, in the data center and only accessed by people authorized to do so.
Providing Real-Time Access to Data: No matter how mobile your employees are, they need to be rooted in access to the company’s data in real-time to be able to make informed and fast decisions. Mobile employees should be equipped with secure, and centralized file sharing capabilities over which the IT department has complete control and visibility.
Getting an Application Up and Running: The process of implementing an effective procedure for designing applications can be tricky since it’s a crucial aspect of any Enterprise Mobility strategy. By abstracting back-end functions in the cloud, businesses can free up their resources to focus on front-end development and develop strong mobile business models simultaneously.
Mobile Strategy: This is a major challenge for IT leaders as they must ensure that the senior executives of the organization are fully bought into their mobile strategy and that there is a positive mindset towards the transformative nature of such technologies. To solve this Enterprise Mobility issues and essentially reach the universal goals that mobile technology should be driving at, the enterprise should seek help and guidance from experienced partners and solution providers when devising their mobile strategies.
Mobile User Experience: When it comes to mobile technology for businesses, user experience drives user adoption, and user adoption drives ROI. It involves making the decision between re-designing existing applications for a mobile setting, as well as optimizing all mobile systems within an organization to provide enhanced productivity and efficiency for the workforce.
What do CIOs and their IT teams expect from solution providers like Wysetek in mobility domain?
Deeper understanding of the client’s business, industry and business issues is important. CIOs think that their SI understand their changing business requirements and we are on course to do more homework and groundwork to fully appreciate the challenges and recommend technology solutions.
Transcend beyond up-selling and cross-selling to focus on collaborative problem solving through technology and appreciate the CIOs business challenges. Since SI are so much closer to a client’s business and have an intimate understanding of their business processes, the expectation is to drive innovation at a grassroots level.
CIOs today are more interested in the business impact that a technological change will result in and SIs like Wysetek must speak that language too and not just focus on technical merits and delivery deadlines. As the CIO’s role continues to become more strategic; older, resource-based pricing models are no longer relevant. Outcome based, transaction based, and other hybrid pricing models are the order of the day.

What future trends do you foresee in 2019 and how does Wysetek plan to capitalize on the same?
Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence has permeated all kind of technologies being used everywhere. To adopt the full automation era, Machine Learning technology must go beyond the restrictions for proper integration. Still, there are a few companies which are lagging in adoption of automation, and they might ignore the importance of AI in business operations.
Increased adoption of bring-your-own-device (BYOD) : Many companies are adopting the trend to ask their employees to bring-your-own-device in office – laptop, tablet or mobile phone. This involves lesser cost involved in buying devices for the office but employee’s personal devices in office may risk the official data which can be removed by availing the employee’s device with the enterprise version of apps.
The need for cross-platform apps increased: The culture of BYOD will raise the development of cross-platform apps. As some employees may use Android devices while others may have iOS the company must develop the app with cross platforms to be used on Android as well as iOS.
More enterprise-tailored app: To surge the requirement of companies, mobile Apps are moving from generic apps to enterprise-fit apps specifically designed and developed according to the needs of an enterprise, rather than using ordinary consumer apps.
Migration to Cloud: Enterprises need to store many different kinds of data related to customers, work, employees, etc. but the usage of mobile phones has hindered the storage as they have lesser storage space on devices. So, to comply the demand for data storage, the cloud storage is the best option.
Multilayered security model: As the employees will bring their personal devices in the company office, breaching the security measures is one of the major threats to the company. The data of the company is the costliest asset to the enterprise, protecting that data is one of the major responsibilities of the company.
More mobility, less computing: The need for usage of the enterprise based app has increased the usage of mobile phones and tablets, which result in lowered the dependency of work on computers.
Lastly, there will be a rise in demand of experienced developers. As the businesses getting to rely on the technology extensively, there is need for developers to perform the task efficiently and effectively. The developers must be highly skilled not only with technological background rather with the management skills to manage the task of the company effectively. The programming and coding skills are highly required to integrate the technology with the current working but the managerial skill sets they own would be a win-win skill for the benefit of the company.
